Camp Holiday

Camp Holiday LogoCamp Holiday for 5-21 yr olds is staffed by degreed professionals in the fields of Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Music Therapy and Occupational Therapy. Children age 15 and up will be considered for a Counselor-in-Training program unique to this camp. Camp is located at Sardis Presbyterian Church in Charlotte.

Session 1 – June 20 – July 1

Session 2 – July 18 – 29

Session 3 – August 1 – 12

Monday – Friday, 9am – 2pm

Holiday Terms of Registration
1. Regular Registration Deadline: May 9th. Regular Registration Fee for DSAGC Members is $210 per session. Regular Registration Fee for DSAGC Guests is $260 per session. Each session is two weeks. Campers must register per session.
2. Late Registration for DSAGC Members is $300 per session and for DSAGC Guests is $350 per session.
3. Registration fees (and/or Financial Assistance Request Forms) for all sessions per camper are required by May 16 (payable to the DSAGC). If all payments are not paid by May 16, the camper will be put on the waiting list for the sessions that have not been paid in full.
4. ALL paperwork, including health forms, medicine authorization (if necessary), parental consent, teacher assessment, terms or registration and camp release disclosure are due May 16. If ANY of the above paperwork is missing from the camper’s file as of May 16, the camper will be put on the waiting list.
5. Open spots in camp will be filled from the waiting list based on the age group of the camper and the number of counselors available for that group. Camp Holiday maintains a 3:1 camper to counselor ratio in each group of campers. Only campers who have paid in full and have turned in all of their paperwork will be considered for an available camp slot. If no space is found for a camper on the wait list, then a full refund will be issued on the first day of the camp session for which they have been wait listed.
6. A full refund will be issued if DSAGC Camp Holiday is cancelled due to low enrollment.
7. In the case of a serious illness or hospitalization of the participant, refunds may be requested for the balance remaining from a pre-paid program; documentation from physician should be submitted at the time of the refund request.
8. NO REFUND will be granted for withdrawal requests made without documentation from a physician.

Camp Horizon

Camp Horizon LogoCamp Horizon is a three-day overnight summer camp for children with Down syndrome, ages 10 to 17. It provides a special and safe place where the kids discover a renewed sense of self-confidence, develop friendships, enjoy the beauty of nature and have a fun and memorable experience. The camp is located near Lenoir, NC. The camp requires a 1:1 counselor to child ratio so lots of volunteers are needed. To be eligible to attend Camp Horizon, campers must live within our service area in one of the following counties: Cabarrus, NC; Catawba, NC; Cleveland, NC; Gaston, NC; Iredell, NC; Lincoln, NC; Mecklenburg, NC; Rowan, NC; Stanly, NC; Union, NC, Lancaster, SC; York, SC.

Camp Horizon is offered from Wednesday, August 24 - Saturday, August 27.

Horizon Terms of Registration

Camp Cuisine

Camp Cuisine LogoCamp Cuisine is a cooking camp for teens and adults! Participants will have fun while learning cooking basics, kitchen safety, food safety, making healthy food choices, socializing with friends and making some tasty food.

The cooking instructor has 10 year of experience teaching in a college level food and nutrition program and 3 years with Davidson Summer Camps.
