The Learning Program™
DSAGC is proud to announce a 4 month pilot series of The Learning Program™. The Learning Program™ is a supplemental education program for children ages 6-8 that is designed to help parents understand their child’s learning styles and support their education at home. The series will run one Saturday per month (September through December), and includes both a Child Session and Parent Session. Children are instructed by licensed teachers and therapists; parents receive training and educational materials to use at home to supplement their child’s education. The materials are based on sound research and best practices in instructing students with Down syndrome. The program includes a math, reading, occupational therapy, and speech therapy component. This is a pilot program, so space is very limited – interested families will be selected through a random lottery system.
The Learning Program is on break for the Spring and Summer, but will resume again in Fall 2015. Please check back for additional details or contact Director of Education, Stephanie Cook.
